LARKHALL WEBSITE

I want to inform our families that the school website is packed full of everything you need to know about the school. You will find information linked to the school curriculum (under the header ‘Larkhall Curriculum’), as well as specific information to the learning your child will be looking at this term (under the header ‘Year Group Information’). It hopefully provides a quick and easy access to find out everything about the school. The website address is larkhall.lambeth.sch.uk. The website can also be seen in seven different languages, representing the school community.

REWARD TRIPS – NEXT ONE PIZZA EXPRESS

Just to remind all of our families, these are special extra trips that children can be chosen to attend.  They may be chosen for a number of reasons including:

  • Being a fantastic role model
  • Making great progress with their learning
  • Always having the things they need; PE kit, water bottle, bag and correct uniform
  • Or anything else they have done brilliantly!

The Pizza Express Reward Trip takes place on Wednesday 16th November.  Those children selected will be out during the morning and back to school in time for lunch.

CHRISTMANS JUMPER AND CHRISTMAS MEAL

A date in the diary for all of our families is Thursday 8th December. On this date the children will be having a Christmas meal. I know all of the children look forward to this date and it has become such a tradition at Larkhall. We are also co-ordinating this date with Christmas Jumper Day. Again, another tradition our children really look forward to. This year, as is the case in recent events, any money will go toward purchasing new reading books for our children.

PARENT WORKSHOP – COFFEE AND CAKE EVENT TUESDAY NOVEMBER 22nd BETWEEN 3:00PM AND 4:00PM

Lambeth Mental Health Schools Team (MHST)

We are really pleased to say that Larkhall Primary Campus are a part of the MHST initiative within Lambeth.

We recognise that children’s mental health, wellbeing and happiness is key to their success both at school and in life. We also recognise that many children and parents need advice and support at some times in their life in order to maintain positive relationships, wellbeing and with accessing school.

We will be holding a Coffee & Cake event at 3pm-4pm on Tuesday 22nd November where you can come along and meet myself and members of the MHST team and find out more about what they have to offer.

This event is open to anyone in our school community, you may be interested in accessing these services or just curious as to what it is we are offering.

LARKHALL WINTER FAIR

On Friday 9th December we will be hosting our Christmas Fair, starting at 1:00pm and finishing at 3:00pm. Come along and see Santa in his Grotto! More information to follow soon but please save the date and come along to see us! Also if there are any parents who can volunteer to help us run a stall please speak to Victoria.

That’s it from me. If there is anything else myself or a member of the team can do to help and support you during this time, please do not hesitate to get in touch in the usual ways. I am also always on the Gaskell Street gates each morning from 8:30am.

Best wishes

Gary
