Newsletter 28th May 2021

Dear Families

This is the find letter this half term and as always I hope you and your families are keeping well.

Please see the latest information and news below, including the parent governor vacancy, non-uniform day update and key dates for your diary.

Parent Governor

As you know we had four parents apply for the role of Parent Governor. I want to thank all four candidates for their applications. All would have made very impressive Parent Governors.

I am pleased to announce that the two new Parent Governors are, Linh Harper and Sumayah Begum. On behalf of the school community, I want to congratulate both of them and wish them every success in their roles.

I am also pleased to announce that we had an unprecedented number of votes for the vacant role of Parent Governor. Many thank you to all those who voted.

Non-Uniform Day

The children love to come into school wearing their own clothes. Today was no different. As a result of your kind donations, we have raised £275 that will be spent on books for our children. I know these are uncertain times, where household finances can be an added anxiety, so a huge thank you from me.

Reading Books

In response to the Non-Uniform Day, where the focus is on raising funds for reading books for the school, I have had many families contact me about donating spare reading books they have. These have been very generous offers. If there are more families willing to donate reading books, please contact the school office and we will be delighted to accept your offer.

Parent Volunteers in school

We presently have a number of parents volunteering to cone into school to work with staff and children. This can range from anything from half days to full days each week. If there are any parents who wish to volunteer within the school, please contact the school office and we will be in touch.

Key Dates

That’s it from me. As always, if there is anything else myself or a member of the team can do to help and support you during this time, please do not hesitate to get in touch in the usual ways. Have a great break.

Best wishes

Gary
