END OF YEAR REPORTS
It is the time of the year for your child to receive their end of Year school reports. The reports are meant to provide a summary of your child’s achievements and next steps to work on. Each of our children are unique and teachers’ could write pages on each and every one of them. As always, if any parent would like to speak to their child’s class teacher, then please make an appointment either via Dojo or through calling the main school reception.
YEAR 6 SHOW
On Thursday 14th July the Year 6 show will take place. The children in Year 6 have worked incredibly hard in order to make this an extra special showpiece. The acting and theatre management skills of the children never ceases to amaze me. Coming at the end of an extremely busy academic year, culminating in their SATs, the show itself will be an extravaganza.
SPORTS DAY
The Larkhall Sports Day was held on Tuesday 12th July. It was great to be back at Kennington Park after an absence of a few years. It was also great to see so many of our parents join us in what is undoubtedly one of the high points of the year. The children as always had a great time and represented the school community with their usual high standards. Please don’t forget to see the Twitter feed for amazing images and pictures of the day. Thankfully, the weather was very kind to us too. The amazing heat we have been experiencing this summer gave way to a mild and temperate day. I would like to thank all of the staff for making this day a great success and as always, special mention to Adam for organising the entire event. It only looks so effortless on the day because of the work put in beforehand.
ATTENDANCE
We are fast approaching the end of another fantastic academic year at Larkhall. I want to remind all of our families that your child’s attendance is so important right up until the end of this year. Just to remind all of our families, school finishes on Thursday 21st July at 2:00pm. The original date was Friday 22nd July, but this has been brought forward.
That’s it from me. If there is anything else myself or a member of the team can do to help and support you during this time, please do not hesitate to get in touch in the usual ways. I am also always on the Gaskell Street gates each morning from 8:40am.
Best wishes
Gary
