The table above shows the previous 6 years achievement results of our children for Reception year, Year 1 Phonics and the Key Stage 1 (Year 2) SAT’s, as well as Key Stage 2 (Year 6) SAT’s, without the Centre for Autism.

The reason for this format is that the children in the Centre for Autism have separate admission criteria to mainstream children, are educated in a separate facility and do not follow the National Curriculum, nor take part in the KS1 or KS2 SATs.

The achievement statistics highlighted in this format do include, of course, all SEND and non-SEND children in the mainstream school; to ensure a fair comparison to all other national mainstream schools.

This format informs the mainstream school SEF and underpins the achievement objectives contained in the mainstream SDP.  To include the achievement of the children within the Centre for Autism would miss-inform the SDP and future areas for effective school improvement, as well as the academic priorities of the children.

All schools are required to produce a comparative Dept for Education (DfE) document that reflects how well they are performing in comparison to other local authority and national schools. The DfE link at the bottom of this page reflects the performance of Lark Hall main school including the Centre for Autism children.
