Dear Parent/Carer
I want to let you all know that a member of staff at Lark Hall has been tested positive for the coronavirus (COVID19). The member of staff is self-isolating and will receive school support during this difficult time. I know you will want me to pass on your very wishes and wish them a speedy recovery.
This is clearly a concern to all connected to Lark Hall. As you expect the health and safety of all of our staff and families is central to any action the school take.
On being informed of the news, immediate contact was made with Lambeth local authority and Public Health England in order to obtain the most up to date medical advice in circumstances such as this.
The COVID-19 Guidance for Educational Settings states that:
After consultation with both Lambeth local authority and Public Health England, we were all in agreement that as the guidance has been followed it is safe for the school to be open for staff and children on Monday 23rd March.
Again, following guidelines, a deep clean was also carried out throughout Lark Hall Primary School over the weekend to ensure the environment was safe to return to on Monday 23rd March.
In the present circumstances it is important we all follow clear and transparent guidelines in order to ensure we are doing the utmost to keep ourselves safe and well.
Members of the Senior Leadership Team are on hand to answer any questions you may have.
Best wishes
Gary
